Julian A. Brodsky

Founding Partner and Chairman, Comcast Interactive Capital
Founding Partner, Director, and Vice Chairman, Comcast Corporation

In 1963, based on a recommendation from a guy in Harrisburg, three friends founded what would eventually become the nation’s largest cable television company and Internet service provider. Julian A. Brodsky, a fresh Wharton grad and budding entrepreneur, set off on business venture that would change his life and American telecommunications.

It was Brodsky’s creativity and conservative fiscal policies that shaped the financial reputation of Comcast. And it was his courage and global mind-set that guided the M&A efforts and the international development and expansion of the company.

Many years later, as a seasoned veteran, Brodsky founded Comcast Interactive Capital Group, the in-house venture capital fund. He keeps the fund focused on technology and investments that complement Comcast core activities (basically, the things that he knows best).

His keynote address will give us his candid insights and advice from his experiences as an entrepreneur, a “corporate guy”, and now a successful VC.
