As an electrical engineer, Mayank’s passion for technology and belief in the difference it can make led him to start his first company Ambient Technologies in 2004. Ambient dealt in the home automation space making security, life-style and energy saving devices. In December 2005, Mayank founded Cooliris in Palo Alto, a company trying to improve the browser while trying to enhance the end-user experience in browsing links and rich media. The company grew steadily and in early 2007, Cooliris was funded by Kleiner Perkins.
